How to get a Certificate of Good Standing in New Jersey
First, you’ll need to have the entity name and 10-digit business ID at hand in order to request a certificate. You can get a Standing Certificate online, via fax, regular mail, or in person, in the state of New Jersey. Electronic filings are updated by 10:00am the next business day, while an expedited service is available for requests made by fax, in person, or through Courier Service. The expedited process delivers the certificate within 8.5 business hours.
Once your Good Standing Certificate has been stamped, you’ll receive it via 1st class mail (unless you have specified otherwise). However, if you ordered online, you’ll receive your certificate virtually; you’ll then need to validate your certificate online.
